In 1995 Ricardo Suave got his big break when he was featured on the Starlight segment of the greatest one night reggae show on earth STING. From there Suave continued on his musical journey and in 1996 he entered the Red Label Wine Super Star Song Competition where he placed second with an original composition entitled “Embrace Me”. Though not one to be classed in any specific genre Suave has long been a practitioner of Lover’s Rock. Having grasped some new techniques Suave began to focus on his own career once more recording and performing until he caught the attention of dancehall artist Spragga Benz who later collaborated with him on the smash single “Rock Your Body” for which a video was shot. At the start of 2009 Suave appeared on the big stage at the Jamaica Jazz & Blues Festival this time alongside Lionel Richie, Randy Crawford and the O Jay’s. In March he made his presence felt at the newly established Jordu Live showcase and is now working with his Independent Record Label Suave Productions to create a buzz to welcome his highly anticipated debut album.
