Mazola  Wa Mwashighadi, is a Kenyan born artist living and working in Kingston Jamaica which he proudly calls home.  He attended Creative Art Centre in Nairobi Kenya (91/94 fine art Dip in drawing and painting) He also studied free form sculpture at the Edna Manley College of the Visual and Performing Arts (97/98, Commonwealth Art and Craft Award Fellowship.) He has participated in Solo and Group exhibitions in Kenya ,Uganda, U,K, U.S.A. Italy, Antigua, Barbados,  and Trinidad. His most recent solo exhibition was Vision 30/50 at the Harmony Hall gallery early 2014 where he celebrated 30 years of continued growth, in art as life.

Presentation of historical, current local and universal issues with a style that can be described as when sculpture, painting, carpentry, written word, music spiced with poetry are served together on one single plane.  The real aim is to provoke thought.
