If you can feel the bass, chances are it’s a Taddy P production. The ultra talented bassist Taddy P supported by some of Jamaica’s most talent musicians join forces with legendary Calypsonian Lord Laro to bring the BASSLINE to Redbones onFriday September 18, 2015.
Taddy P is a touring musician and producer who is known for his distinct playing style with the ‘talking bassline’ prominent in several rhythms featured on his two albums “Bass Inna Yu Face” (2005) and ” Gimmie Di Bass” (2011). He has also released a slew of musical collabs over the past ten years featuring internationally acclaimed artists such as Tanya Stephens, Shaggy and Maxi Priest. His latest project – BASSLINE – remains true to his signature style offering a groovy, sexy dancehall flavor fused with Reggae, Dub and Jazz.
As a live music event BASSLINE will take its audience on a musical journey through Taddy P’s signature repertoire which includes work done with Tanya Stephens, Maxi Priest, Shaggy, AJ Brown and the late Bunny Rugs of Third World. Bassline will also feature music from the legendary Calypsonian Lord Laro, one of the Caribbean’s most celebrated entertainers who is known for comedic anecdotes professionally penned and delivered with grace and style.
BASSLINE promises a night of high quality music both nostalgic and contemporary in an atmosphere that captures the essence of the Jamaican spirit in great music, mouth watering food and good company.
